大聪是一个看起来很不靠谱的地陪导游，一天接待了年轻貌美的青年女画家童彤。童彤按照男友天明邮寄来的日记信息来到西双版纳。日记中男友告诉她，两人要在西双版纳玩一次互不见面的爱情追逐游戏，童彤如果按照日记里的计划，顺利完成了这次游戏，就可以将二人的爱情修成正果。大聪开始以为这不过是男女恋人之间的玩笑而已，谁成想童彤玩的格外认真，一路上二人按图索骥，历尽艰辛，又乌龙不断，一步步完成了礼堂寻画、医院惊魂、酒店探秘、咖啡馆寻亲等一系列任务后，终于来到了日记里任务的终点，却发现天明已经深埋墓地之下。童彤伤心欲绝，悲愤求死，幸好大聪及时相救。结合天明的日记与自己的亲身经历，童彤和大聪都重新参悟出生命的真义。
