富家子金文欧与父淳南闹翻，得觊觎其家财的女友李美莉支持开办画室。欧受托绘画“快乐天使”毛衣广告，邀得隔邻杂货店老板的女儿梅婉萍当模特儿。欧与萍通宵达旦工作，突接家里来电，告知南痛重，嘱他携未婚妻回家见老父一面。欧因找不到莉，求萍冒充。南见萍温婉娴淑，大喜之下病情好转，催促二人早日结婚。莉不忿揭穿萍身份，南竟将所有财产转赠萍，莉一怒之下命人收回画室。欧于绝境中得萍相助完成广告画像，二人患难见真情，喜结良缘。
