《杰出公民》剧情简介
沉默寡言的小说家丹尼尔·曼托瓦尼（奥斯卡·马丁内兹饰）与成功有着一种说不清、道不明的关系：成功给他带来了同时代的其他作家难以企及的财富，却让他担忧自己已经没有成名前那宝贵的棱角。\r 五年后，这位定居巴塞罗那的作家依然炙手可热，他不得不让助手礼貌地回绝一堆盛情邀请，直到收到了一封来自距离布宜诺斯艾利斯车程七小时的家乡小镇萨拉斯的信。丹尼尔所有创作的灵感全部来自这片故土，但却已经四十年没有回乡——正像他自己所说的那样，他从未离开家乡，但也从未回归。颇让助手感到意外的是，他接受了小镇的邀请，踏上了前往接受“杰出公民”奖的旅途。\r 不过，他这次返乡的前提是：谢绝媒体打扰。到达布宜诺斯艾利斯之后，他坐着一辆破车，经历好一番波折才最终来到小镇，收到了市长的热情欢迎。\r 村民们对于名人的到来欣喜若狂。有些人认定丹尼尔笔下的人物就是他们自己，对这位作家发出各种请求。根据安排，丹尼尔会在家乡展开巡回讲座，并担任一场绘画比赛的评委。而他少年时代的好友安东尼奥则沾沾自喜地告诉这位大人物，自己娶了当年被他抛弃的女孩艾琳。
